I recently purchased this flash as a first flash for my Minolta 7D. I didn't want a cheap model, but I also didn't want to spend a lot of money, particularly for something I wasn't extremely educated on. I used it extensively for the first time last week at a wedding I shot. I was very pleased with the results. Recovery time between flashes was not bad, and the ease of use is great. It does go through batteries relatively fast, but as long as you have plenty of spare AAs handy, you can't go wrong with this flash.
